A travel to Guinness World Records Bust Sculpture – Adiyogi.
It was out of the desire and curiosity that we decided to conquer the feeling of the great sculpture 'The Adiyogi'.

A fine evening at the college, where everyone was busy with their own works. Like the message of the angels of god, we received a mail. Everyone moved to silence, running their eyes through the mail, smiles spread out as to the end of the message and the minds of the students were delighted. It was always happy to get a day off, in the busy schedule of college life, where everyday is a working day. Everyone started to plan the day, few planning for outings, few for shopping and fooding. Few planned to spent the day by sleeping and washing. I never missed a chance to ride my RE and runaway to new places. With the great motivation of my friend we decided to visit the Adiyogi at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

We started our journey early in the morning (4.30 am) from Palakkad. It was freezing cold and was a tough task to drive the 78 km in that climate, but the glimpse of the destination was more enough to motivate us to complete the drive. In the freezing ride a cup of tea in between warmed our body, energizing us for the further ride. The clock moved on and as it reached somewhere around 6.15 am we could see the sign boards, creating more excitement in us. By 6.30 am we reached the front gate which was simple and big where the security guided us to the parking.
It moved closer and closer as we moved on the way to parking and in the first sight itself i told wow!!. Yes, we reached and it was time to feel the Adiyogi. We parked the bike long back and started to walk from the back , through the center carpet laid with stones guiding us near to the Guinness World Records Bust Sculpture – Adiyogi. It became bigger and bigger as we reached closer to it.

As it was early in the morning, the sunlight has just started to touch the sculpture, surrounded with mountains and farming land it was a mind blowing experience. The way guided us to a open space where people was engaged with yoga’s and prayer besides the sound of the tickling breeze along with music touched our ears. Just down the Adiyogi in-front, some reverence and rituals was going on where people prayed in silence.
We sat down in a corner and totally engaged with the environment. We closed our ears and took our ears to the sound of music along with sound of nature. The feeling of peace and relaxation moved along the body as we sat down, we were feeling free and our mind was walking through a new world where happiness, relaxation, joy, peace etc… laid our way. Half hour of travel through another world, we decided to take a walk around the sculpture.

When walking around i was quite surprised to know how this was maintained in such a beautiful manner. As we took the round and reached the front again, i was astonished to realize that the garland in the neck of Siva was made of rudraksha. I was amazed to think how many rudraksha could be used to make this. Anyways this is something you should come here and feel. We again came and moved to a corner to enjoy the beauty of nature and Lord Siva- The first Yogi. The clock was ticking much faster than usual. As time moved on, the area started to get crowded and noise with more people and tourist rang around. In the back side it was the food stalls, dhyanalinga, suryakund and others where we made a quick walk to look at.

We decided to take walk back to the parking to make the return and to be honest the sun was getting hotter and hotter. By the time we reached back the parking the area was fully crowded and the sun was burning out. Thinking of the wonderful experience we took the vehicle back to the college and I have to say this was a energy booster for us who were fed-up with busy schedules of the college. Hoping for new break to take a ride we reached back in the college.
I would suggest to visit Adiyogy early in the morning to feel the picture and get something more than you expect considering the factor that i haven’t visited the place during the evening time. It would be wonder full and interesting to know and study more about this amazing construction and the facts behind this.
